Hong Kong Comic Con 2026: Zing Pop Shop Booth Recap & Cyberpunk Gear Launch!
What an absolute whirlwind of a weekend! From May 29 to May 31, 2026, history was made as the inaugural Hong Kong Comic Con (HKCC) completely took over the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. As the very first official Comic Con in Hong Kong, the energy was off the charts—and you best believe the Zing Pop Shop Asia team was right in the middle of the action!
The vibe? Absolute chooh-percharged perfection. We want to give a massive shoutout to the incredible global audience who stopped by our booth. We met passionate fans who traveled from all over the world, including the Philippines, Japan, Macau, Russia, Malaysia, Thailand, Australia, and the US! Seeing the international community unite under one roof to celebrate geek culture was nothing short of legendary.
The Stars Aligned in HK
It wasn't just the fans bringing the heat—Hollywood royalty graced the main stage for some unforgettable fan meets and signing sessions. Heavyweights like Mads Mikkelsen, Norman Reedus, Giancarlo Esposito, Jamie Campbell Bower, and the legendary Doc Brown himself, Christopher Lloyd, all made appearances, sending the crowd into an absolute frenzy!
Pure Cosplay Magic & A Legendary Closing Ceremony
The creativity on display was mind-blowing. We were surrounded by amazing cosplayers ("Cosers") all around the show floor, bringing our favorite video game and cinematic characters to life with jaw-dropping accuracy.
It all culminated in an epic grand ending ceremony. The stage was packed for a spectacular collective Coser showcase. To top it all off, Hong Kong cinema icon and event ambassador Mr. Louis Koo took the stage alongside Christopher Lloyd to deliver an inspiring ending speech, sealing the historic weekend and promising that this first HK Comic Con is just the beginning—there is much more to come in the years ahead!
